The H-W3B Paris is back for a new edition!

Participants will have 48 hours to develop a use case and develop a prototype on a Web3 subject and present it to a jury made up of ecosystem experts. The details of the themes will be communicated subsequently.

Practical info
Course of the hackathon
The hackathon takes place over a number of stages:
DEROULE
1/ Pre-hackathon
A Discord server will be set up for exchanges with participants and to enable teams to get together.
At the end of the registration and team-building phase, teams will be asked to provide a business case 2 weeks before the start of the hackathon to enable the juries to get an early look at the project and also to enable the team to structure the project and the idea before starting the development phase during the hackathon.
The hackathon runs from 8pm on Friday evening to 12 noon on Sunday. From 1pm, the pitch phase in front of the juries begins, until the prize-giving ceremony during the evening. Teams will have 40 hours to create an MVP for their project and a pitch. Participants will be grouped together in rooms so that they can work together.
Throughout the hackathon, the teams will be supported and assisted by coaches from the ecosystem, specialising in different areas: code, blockchain, metavers, NFT, fundraising, UX design, pitching, etc. The aim is to give the teams all the support they need to succeed in the time available and under the best possible conditions. In addition, workshops will be held over the weekend to help the groups prepare their presentation to the jury. Finally, a team of Tezos developers will be on hand throughout the weekend to help the teams with the technical aspects and the code.
For the pitch phase, the teams will be divided into 2 groups in front of 2 different juries. The 3 best teams from the two groups (i.e. 6 teams) will compete in the final in front of the full jury and an audience. At the end of the jury's deliberations, 3 teams will be declared winners and will receive the first 3 financial prizes. A further 5 teams will receive additional prizes.

Jury scoring criteria

Previous edition
The first edition of the H-W3B was held on 31-1-2 April 2023 in Paris and was co-organised by Sia Partners, Tezos and Exaion. The challenge was to come up with an MVP (minimum viable product) to improve a service or process around 4 themes: Finance, Art & Culture, Gaming, and others.
In all, 17 teams took part and delivered some of the craziest projects ever. We had almost 100 participants, with around twenty coaches on hand to help and advise them.

Teams are made up of 3 to 7 members maximum. In order to have homogeneous groups, we ask you to favor teams with varied profiles (business school, information school, engineering school, etc.) in order to have a range of different skills that can be used in all phases of the hackathon.
Constitution of teams
The winning teams will be able to continue to develop their project to be able to unlock Tezos grants, allowing them to receive a second post-hackathon financial prize.
